Now that this whole vampire trend that’s been dominating media has finally started to cool down, it’s time for us to predict what’s going to be next. Werewolves have been done and mummies seem pretty unlikely, so if I had to guess, I’d say that the next big thing is going to be bird people. Just folks covered in feathers everywhere 2K15, you mark my words.
Or at least, that’s the impression that I’m getting from the announcement of Archaia’s newest comic, Jorge Corona’s Feathers, which launches in January with a six-issue miniseries. Corona will tell the story of a feather-covered boy named Poe who makes a friend for the first time in his life, and attempts to guide her home through a world of twisted back alleys and smoky chimneys, and it looks amazing.
I’M SO EXCITED FOR MY FRIEND jorgecor's AMAZING NEW BOOK!!! It was beautiful when I saw it at SCAD, and I know it'll be just as beautiful in January. He deserves all the attention for this, “Goners,” and for just being one of the most spectacularly nicest guys I know!
After last weeks doodle, I couldn’t get Throg out of my mind. So, I thought I’d have another go at it. And here he is, the Amphibious Prince of Thunder, the Cold-Blooded Lord of Lightning, the Pet Avengers Pugilist, THROG!
A bit late, but here’s my humble tribute to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Saw the the movie when it came out, and I have very mixed feelings. One the one hand, I LOVED the turtles and feel the movie really got their personal interactions and personalities down. On the other hand, I didn’t like much else. But, TMNT was far too influential a part of my childhood for me to not smile while I drew this. So, here he is, the almighty Master Splinter!
Absolutely loved the “Guardians of the Galaxy”. It more than exceed my expectations, and was just an all over great film. So, here’s my contribution to the flood of Guardians related art as of late, one of my favorite Marvel characters, Rocket!
Saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes with my good buddy Sarah (worstwizard) the other day, so I’ve had simians on the mind. So here’s MONEY, from Dexter’s Laboratory, most likely fighting for Agent Honeydew’s honor.
I’ve wanted to color this drawing I did at Heroes Con since I got back from the convention, and finally found the time! Had a lot of fun with this, and a big thanks to impkingcomics for helping me play with my coloring process!!
